The Stanwell Walnut 124 is an iconic shape that combines an egg-apple bowl with a long, pointed shank that narrows in the middle and widens at the ends, ending with a saddle stem. This particular pipe was made in 1983, a collaboration between Danish pipe-making genius Sixten Ivarsson and his son Lars Ivarsson, and is the last major model Sixten delivered to the factory. Stanwell was founded in 1942 by Poul Nielsen under Kyringe, with Danish production ending in 2009. From 2010, Stanwell pipes are made by Barontini in Italy, except for limited editions which remain Danish-linked. GRADING & MARKS

The Walnut 124 is a unique shape that combines an egg-apple bowl with a long, pointed shank that narrows in the middle and widens at the ends, ending with a saddle stem. The Walnut 124 is finished in a smooth, reddish stain that highlights the natural grain of the briar. The stem is vulcanite, with a tapered profile and a fishtail bit. CONDITION REPORT
