Stanwell was founded in 1942 by Poul Nielsen under the Kyringe factory. In 1948, the 'Stanwell' trademark was registered, and the crowned-S stem logo was introduced. The factory moved to Borup in either 1965 or 1969, depending on the source. Danish production ended in 2009, and since then, Stanwell pipes have been made by Barontini in Italy, except for limited editions. **GRADING & MARKS**

The straight apple is a classic pipe shape known for its wide, round bowl and tapering shank leading to a cylindrical stem.
