A high quality finish, with vertical and cross grain under a smooth surface: this is an unmarked smooth straight billiard with a square paneled shank, a paneled vulcanite saddle stem and a fishtail mouthpiece.
No maker's name or number can be read on it.
THE MARKS
- no stamp
The bowl stands upright on a straight shank, 48 mm high and 40 mm across. A billiard has an upright bowl on a straight shank; on this one the shank is cut square, with flat panels, and the saddle stem has flat faces of its own. The flat, wide part of the saddle meets the shank, and the stem then narrows to a fishtail mouthpiece.
The finish is smooth and glossy, and the grain lines show on the sides of the bowl and on the shank.
With no stamp, no year can be given.
Condition: pre-smoked and in very good condition.
