Oldenkott was founded in 1740/1760 by Henricus Oldenkott/Rees and Hermannus Oldenkott/Ahaus lines. In 1926, 'Original Oldenkott' pipes were advertised nationally in Berlin. Post-war, Oldenkott was Germany's #2 pipe maker after VAUEN. In 1972, Kersten family bought the pipe company back and in 1992, it was closed. Grading & Marks:

This is a large, long-shanked bent billiard with a tapered stem. The shape is meant to be held in the hand, with the bowl resting on the fingers. The bent line allows the pipe to rest on a table or lay in the hand while not in use. Briar & Finish:
The briar is smooth and evenly grained, with a reddish stain. The finish is smooth and glossy, with no visible fills or repairs. The vulcanite stem is dark brown and shiny, with a fishtail mouthpiece. Condition Report:
