Refbjerg Handicraft Profile Smooth Straight Apple Pot Estate Pipe Denmark

Refbjerg Handicraft "Profile" - smooth straight apple pot, made in Denmark

The maker. Refbjerg is the work of the Danish pipe maker Søren Refbjerg Rasmussen, who founded his company in 1969. In the 1970s about 8 to 12 craftsmen worked for him, and their semi-freehands were sold under his first name, Søren. Later he worked alone as Refbjerg in Søborg, making small and medium-sized pipes in classic shapes with a Danish touch, often with decorative rings on the stem. (Source: Pipedia, "Refbjerg".)

The pipe. A short, vest-pocket size straight apple pot in smooth briar. A wide acrylic band sits on the shank, and a second, rounded acrylic band is set into the vulcanite saddle stem - a very elegant combination. Fishtail mouthpiece, no filter.
