An unmarked smooth bent apple with a rounded bowl and pronounced grain running around its warm brown surface. The pipe is recorded as unsmoked, and its identity rests on the visible form and fittings rather than a maker's name.
THE SHAPE AND FINISH
The apple bowl is broad and rounded through its middle, with a curved heel leading into a rising shank. In profile, the black stem continues that bend without interrupting the rounded line of the stummel. The grain is especially visible across the face of the bowl and around the sides, changing direction as the surface turns. The underside and rear photographs are useful here: they show the smooth finish continuing around the pipe, beyond the single front view.
With an outer bowl width of 43mm and a height of 45mm, the recorded proportions help explain the full, rounded appearance. The interior is recorded separately at 20mm across and 33mm deep. Those figures describe this individual bowl rather than assigning it a capacity or promised smoking time.
THE STEM AND FITTING
The stem is recorded as acrylic, with a saddle profile, a fishtail bit and a 9mm filter fitting. The base forms a thicker section at the shank before stepping down to the narrower curved mouthpiece. The photographs include the stem removed, showing the opening at the joint as well as the assembled profile. The filter specification refers to the fitting; it does not promise that a filter is supplied.
THE MARKS
- No maker stamp recorded
There is no established maker or production date in the available record. The pipe is described as an unbranded estate example without attributing the shape or grain to a particular factory.
CONDITION
Unsmoked, as recorded at intake. Please examine the photographs for the rim, chamber, finish and stem surfaces, including the separated joint. The smooth finish and grain are documented from several directions so the individual surface details can be judged directly.
