Mr Brog, no 67 Full Bent and Briar are marked beside a star emblem on this rusticated estate pipe. Farid describes the physical shape as a slightly bent brandy. The dark, deeply textured bowl contrasts with the smooth reddish-brown upper section and shank.
The bowl is broad through its lower body and narrows above the rustication. A narrow bright collar leads into the black saddle mouthpiece. Full Bent is reproduced as a stamped designation, separately from the intake description of the actual bend.
THE MARKS
Mr Brog; no 67 Full Bent; Briar; star emblem. The stamp photograph supplies the maker spelling. No manufacturing date is established for this individual example.
THE STEM AND FITTING
The intake records a vulcanite saddle stem, 9mm filter fitting and fishtail bit. The photographs document the mouthpiece profile, bit and stem joint. A fitting specification does not promise a supplied filter.
CONDITION
Pre-smoked and in excellent condition, as recorded at intake. The chamber, rim, bowl sides, underside and mouthpiece are shown from several angles. Please examine the photographs together to judge the individual finish and signs of handling.
