This Mr Brog No. 90 Steward is a smooth bent billiard with a brass band, a black acrylic saddle stem and a fishtail bit. Farid records the pipe as unsmoked and specifies a 9mm filter fitting. The stamp photograph establishes the maker spelling as Mr Brog.
The tall bowl rises from a rounded heel, while the shank curves upward toward the band. The saddle stem introduces a short step near the junction before its curved mouthpiece continues toward the bit. The smooth reddish-brown finish leaves flowing grain visible across the bowl and shank. The narrow brass band provides a distinct border between the wood and black stem.
At 124mm overall, this is a compact bent pipe with a recorded bowl height of 55mm. The 20mm chamber diameter and 43mm depth are listed separately below. The detached-stem photograph documents the tenon and fitting; the 9mm filter specification comes from Farid's intake.
THE MARKS
The shank close-up reads Mr Brog, no. 90 Steward and Briar. These marks identify the maker name, numbered model and material wording visible on this example. No production date or shop-specific history is established by the available evidence.
CONDITION
Unsmoked, as recorded by Farid. The photographs include both sides, the rim and chamber opening, the underside, the separated stem and the stamp. The unsmoked description is retained without adding a flawless or mint grade. All ten photographs are included.
