MR BORG over 67 and BRUYERE is impressed into the shank of this smooth bent brandy. The rounded lower bowl, narrower upper outline and gently rising shank give the pipe a substantial appearance in profile, while the black saddle stem and narrow bright collar provide a clean break at the joint.
THE MARKS
- MR BORG
- 67
- BRUYERE
The stamp photograph records the name and number directly. The number is quoted as marked, without treating it as a manufacturing date. No factory history or country attribution is added to the available record.
THE SHAPE AND FINISH
The intake note describes a bent brandy. In the side views the bowl is fullest through its lower portion, with the upper wall drawing inward toward the rim. The smooth surface carries warm reddish-brown colour and visible grain, continuing from the bowl along the shank. The underside and rear photographs show how the rounded heel joins that rising line rather than reducing the pipe to a single front view.
The recorded bowl height is 50mm and the outer width 39mm. These dimensions give a useful scale to the rounded outline. Inside, the chamber is recorded at 20mm across and 39mm deep; the full measurements are set out below so the bowl's exterior and interior are not confused.
THE STEM AND FITTING
The stem is recorded as acrylic, with a saddle profile, a fishtail bit and a 9mm filter fitting. Its thicker base follows the shank before stepping down to a narrower curved mouthpiece. The bright collar at the joint is described by its appearance, without claiming a precious-metal composition. The separated-stem photograph shows the fitting alongside the bowl; a filter fitting is specified, without promising a supplied filter.
CONDITION
Pre-smoked, in excellent condition as recorded at intake. The photographs include both sides, the chamber and rim, underside, separated stem and a close view of the stamp. Please use these views to judge the finish, grain and individual signs of use.
