THE MARKS, AND WHAT IS HONESTLY NOT KNOWN
The metal band covers part of the stamp. What can be read is consistent with Lorenzo Altona 8461, and the owner says plainly that ALTONA IS HIS GUESS. It is not offered as a fact and the pipe is not sold as a confirmed Lorenzo. Buy it as an unattributed bent tomato and treat the name as unproven.

CONDITION, IN HIS WORDS
The pipe has been smoked. He grades it in good condition. He reports no crack visible under the metal band, and he says he cannot see under the band, which is why it is put this way.

HOW IT IS BUILT
The shank takes a 9mm filter. The stem is vulcanite, saddle cut, with a fishtail mouthpiece. The metal band is aftermarket, not factory.
