THE MAKER
Loewe & Co. was founded in 1856 in the Haymarket, London. In 1920 the firm was bought by Civic, but its quality and its stamps stayed the same until 1964. From 1964 the series names grew, and the Standard series was added then.

DATING
Michael Lankton's Loewe dating guide places the Standard series from about 1964 to about 1978. This pipe carries the Standard stamp, so it most likely dates from that period.
