Italian Ro-El Milano Wooden Pipe Stand for 3 Pipes

RO-EL, with MILANO - ITALY above it, on an oval label under the base: this is an Italian wooden pipe stand from Ro-El of Milan, made to hold three pipes.

Three carved wooden cups stand in a row on a flat rectangular wooden base. Each cup is a scoop with a raised back, and each takes a pipe bowl-down with the stem pointing up. Four round felt pads sit at the corners of the underside.

THE MARKS

- RO-EL / MILANO - ITALY on an oval label under the base; every letter legible

A stand like this gives pipes a place to rest between smokes, each one in its own cup, and keeps three of them in view on a desk or a shelf.
