This HSB BRUYERE is a straight brandy pipe with a reddish smooth finish, a black acrylic tapered stem and a fishtail bit. Farid records a 9mm filter fitting and describes the pipe as unsmoked, with scratches on the rim.
The bowl has a rounded lower section that rises into narrower shoulders toward the rim. Its fullness sits low in the profile, giving the brandy shape a different outline from a parallel-sided billiard. A straight shank carries the line into the tapered stem, which narrows toward the mouthpiece. Variations in the wood grain remain visible through the reddish finish across the bowl and shank.
The stem is acrylic, as recorded in the intake note. The detached-stem photograph shows its tenon and filter fitting. The 9mm measurement refers to the filter size, rather than to the tobacco chamber. The photographs document both sides of the pipe, the bowl opening, the underside and the separated stem, with the stamp close-up at the end.
THE MARKS
The close-up reads HSB above BRUYERE. These are the identifying words visible on this example. The available intake and photographs do not establish a production date, country of manufacture or a fuller maker attribution, so those details are left open.
CONDITION
Unsmoked, as recorded by Farid. His condition note also discloses "strain scratches on rim." The rim scratches remain part of the condition description despite the unsmoked status. Please examine the rim view and the other photographs for the surface details; all ten photographs are included.
