HAF Handmade in Denmark - straight apple pot
The maker. HAF is one of the lesser-known Danish stamps, listed among the classic mid-century Danish brands such as HAJ and Handicraft. Little is recorded about the carver behind the initials. Pipes like this were made mostly between the late 1960s and the 1980s, the years of the Danish pipe boom, and many such stamps were house brands made for good tobacconists.
The pipe. A straight apple pot with a rustic finish on the bowl, an oval vulcanite saddle stem and a fishtail mouthpiece. No filter.
Stamps. HAF / HANDMADE IN DENMARK.
Condition. Pre-smoked, in very good condition. Please see the photos.
Measured. Length 141 mm (5.55 in); bowl height 40 mm (1.57 in); bowl width 38 mm (1.50 in); chamber diameter 20 mm (0.79 in); chamber depth 36 mm (1.42 in); weight 41 g (1.45 oz).
