Gloria Old Briar Rusticated Bent Billiard Vest Pocket Pipe, Cream Acrylic Saddle Stem, 6mm Filter

This small rusticated bent billiard is a vest pocket pipe, 121 mm long, short enough to carry in a vest pocket. The smooth shank is stamped GLORIA over a curved line, with OLD BRIAR below it. It is made for a 6mm filter and is pre-smoked and in very good condition.

THE MAKER
We have no record of the Gloria maker, so we name only what the stamp says. No country of origin can be seen in the photos.

THE MARKS
- GLORIA / OLD BRIAR

THE SHAPE AND THE STEM
The bowl is round and upright, and the curved stem lets it sit low below the mouthpiece. Deep, craggy rustication covers the whole bowl below a smooth rim, while the shank is left smooth to carry the stamp. A brass-colored band finishes the end of the shank next to the stem. The stem is cream-colored acrylic in a saddle shape, with a wide, flat step at the shank, a gentle bend, and a flared fishtail bit. In the hand, the whole pipe fits across the palm.

Please see the photographs for the rustication, the stamp, the band and the stem.
