Bruyere Garantie Mini Cutty Churchwarden Pipe - Vulcanite, Fair Condition

This BRUYERE GARANTIE pipe has a small smooth cutty bowl, a long straight shank and a black vulcanite tapered stem with a fishtail bit. Farid records it as a vintage pre-smoked pipe in fair condition. The rim has burning or darkening, and he discloses over-sanding from removal of the burned layer. These defects are central to its condition and should be read before purchase.

The pipe measures 200mm overall but has a bowl only 33mm high and 24mm wide. The small bowl and extended outline give it the proportions described in the intake as a mini-size cutty and in the sheet name as a churchwarden. Its bowl leans gently forward, while the straight shank continues into a long mouthpiece. A narrow light-colored ring is visible at the junction in the photographs.

The smooth reddish-brown surface leaves portions of the grain visible along the bowl and shank. The photographs show both profiles, the underside, the rim and chamber opening, and the detached stem. Farid specifies no filter; the metal tenon fitting visible with the stem removed does not change that specification.

THE MARKS
The shank bears the words BRUYERE and GARANTIE, shown in the final close-up. No separate maker name, production date or country of manufacture is established by the available evidence. This listing identifies the pipe by its stamp and physical form without assigning a maker history.

CONDITION
Vintage and pre-smoked, in fair condition. Farid discloses a burned or darkened rim and over-sanding carried out to remove the burned layer. The rim is therefore not presented as an untouched original surface. Please examine the rim view and the rest of the photographs with that work in mind. All ten photographs are retained.
