THE MARKS
The shank is stamped NORMAN SAND MEERSCHAUM. We hold no cabinet entry for that name, so nothing is claimed about the maker, the country or the year.
CONDITION, IN HIS WORDS, AND READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
The pipe is unsmoked new old stock and it shows the signs of a long time in storage. That storage left it with a slight smell. He has cleaned it once. IT WILL NEED MORE CLEANING. That is his own judgement and it is printed here so nobody is surprised.
HOW IT IS BUILT
The finish is sandblast. The bowl carries a meerschaum insert. The stem is vulcanite, saddle cut, with a fishtail mouthpiece. There is no filter.
