Bentley Jahrespfeife 1995 Bent Billiard Estate Pipe, Schneiderwind Aachen Commission

Bentley bent billiard, commissioned by Schneiderwind (Aachen tobacconist) as part of its annual Jahrespfeife (house pipe) series. Stamped BENTLEY on the shank alongside the Schneiderwind W.O. SELECTION house mark. The pipe is dated 1995 via engraved sterling silver band reading 'Aachen 1995 exclusiv fuer Schneiderwind' with 925 hallmark.

Bentley pipes were designed by Hans Former Nielsen, who ran the pipe workshop at W.O. Larsen in Copenhagen before establishing Bentley in Switzerland in 1986. From 1986 to 1996, Bentley production took place at the historic Bru-Bu works in Kleinluetzel, Switzerland, under Former's direct oversight of quality control and carving. Schneiderwind, trading in Aachen since 1846, began commissioning annual pipes in 1987, selecting Bentley among other makers (Stanwell, Brebbia documented) for these limited editions.

- Shank stamp: Schneiderwind script with W.O. SELECTION beneath (house mark, Aachen)
- Sterling silver band: engraved 'Aachen 1995 exclusiv fuer Schneiderwind' with 925 hallmark

Shape and construction: bent billiard with tapered acrylic saddle stem, 9mm filter spigot, fishtail mouthpiece. The bowl sits on a metal collar joint. Total length 155mm (6.2 inches). Bowl height 58mm; width 42mm at widest; depth 50mm. Chamber diameter 20mm. Weight 2.0 oz. The pipe exhibits brown and tan grain briar with silver-toned metal band at shank-bowl junction and black vulcanite stem.

Condition: estate pipe, never smoked. Acrylic saddle stem is new. Refer to photographs for full condition assessment and grain detail.
