Atlas Made in Denmark Smooth Straight Apple Estate Pipe, 9mm Filter, Fishtail

This is an Atlas smooth straight apple with a vulcanite tapered stem and a fishtail mouthpiece, made for a 9 mm filter.

ATLAS is on the shank. A second, smaller line on the shank, MADE IN DENMARK as recorded when the pipe came in, is too blurred to read in the photographs.

An apple bowl has rounded sides, like the fruit, and this bowl is round. It sits on a straight shank.

The stem narrows evenly toward the mouthpiece and ends in a fishtail, which widens and flattens at the tip. A 9 mm filter is a slim filter cartridge that fits inside the stem; this pipe is made for one.

The finish is smooth and glossy, and grain shows on the bowl and on the shank.

No year is known for this Atlas.

Condition: pre-smoked and in good condition, with faint scratches and dents around the briar; please see the photographs.
