The entry

This is a German meerschaum pipe from the Oldenkott brand, designated as part of its Atlantic line and bearing the shape number 132. The pipe is carved from a block of meerschaum, a material prized for its cool, dry smoking properties and its capacity to develop a patina over time. The stampings on the shank identify the maker, the line, the model number, and the country of origin. As an estate pipe, it has been previously smoked.
