The entry
The Peterson Sherlock Holmes Milverton exemplifies the Irish marque's muscular aesthetic rendered in a bold bent Billiard form. Characterized by a Bulldog-style diamond shank that reinforces the design's firm and imposing disposition, this shape carries the designation XL24 in Peterson's other series. The pipe features a glossy ebony stain that creates a formal dress pipe appearance, contrasted by a broad sterling silver accent band etched with the Sherlock Holmes collection logo. This particular example was manufactured for the German market (Huber München) and accordingly employs a 9mm filter system, an unusual feature within the typically filterless Sherlock Holmes series. The collection draws inspiration from Arthur Conan Doyle's characters, with the Milverton named after the villainous 'King of Black-Mailers' from the 1904 story. Peterson's silverwork tradition is showcased through the substantial band, reflecting the Sallynoggin factory's craftsmanship in precious metal applications.
