Danish Estates: Stanwell Royal Briar (87) (Regd. No.) (1948-1960s) Pipe. Condition is “Used”. Shipped with USPS First Class.
Presmoked in good condition, there is faint spot bottom the stem, from old repair I guess, not big issue, but you can see it closely.
Stanwell was founded in Denmark by Poul Nielsen following the Second World War. The brand became a serious domestic and, ultimately, international rival to the English factories that dominated pipe making in the mid-20th century. Offering Danish interpretations of English classics as well as freehand shapes, the factory quickly established relationships with Danish pipe makers like Sixten Ivarsson who revolutionized pipe design. The factory continued this tradition of collaboration throughout its history, offering designs by Jess Chonowitsch, Tom Eltang, and Nanna Ivarsson.
A mainstay of modern pipe smoking, Stanwell for many became the most celebrated of factory brands.
please consider the photos as item description, all my list will sold as it is.
It is used pipe , I did my best to clean and buff it , usually I refurbished the pipe from outside, and left the internal cleaning for my customers standards, almost will need cleaner with alcohol, sometimes will take more attention.
